Innovation isn’t just a feature at JOLLYING — it’s the core of who we are. From redefining the foldable suitcase to developing a patented magnetic system that unites different sizes, we are constantly challenging what travel gear can be. We never compromise on sustainability — instead, we push ourselves to design smarter, lighter products with lower environmental impact. That’s why we continually experiment with new materials and structures in our limited series.
In 2025, we launched our groundbreaking sustainable collection “Pebble.” Its exterior is made from four-layer PC material repurposed from industrial waste, while the interior features recycled peach-skin fabric — delivering both durability and a premium tactile feel. Thanks to our unique foldable design, a 20L travel bag can be stored inside a 30-inch suitcase, minimizing wasted space and maximizing functionality.

True sustainability means creating products that last. Since its founding, JOLLYING has been committed to making durable, functional, and uncompromisingly high-quality travel gear. Every product undergoes rigorous testing — far beyond everyday use — to ensure long-term reliability. Many of our manufacturing partners are equipped with in-house laboratories, where we conduct repeated in-house tests for impact resistance, abrasion, and load capacity on our suitcases and bags. Whether it's for your daily journeys or trips years down the road, JOLLYING believes durability is the ultimate form of value.

Rolling Drum Test
The product is repeatedly tumbled in a large rotating drum filled with obstacles to test its resistance to impact and vibration from multiple directions. This test simulates the harsh transport conditions typically experienced during travel.
Wheel Test
The suitcase is rolled over uneven surfaces for long distances to test the durability and mobility of the wheels. The test also focuses on smoothness and noise levels during movement, replicating real-world travel conditions.
Drop Test
The suitcase is cooled in a low-temperature environment and dropped repeatedly from various heights while loaded with a set weight. This is a crucial test to evaluate how well the wheels and shell (exterior) withstand impact.
Abrasion Resistance Test
This test evaluates how well the fabric used in the foldable sections withstands friction and scratching. The materials and construction are carefully assessed to ensure durability even with frequent folding and storage.
Handle Test
The carry handle is repeatedly extended and retracted to verify durability under typical daily use. This test checks not only ease of grip but also ensures the handle remains stable and does not loosen over long-term use.
Water Resistance Test
This test simulates exposure to light rain and water droplets to verify if the fabric and zipper areas prevent water penetration. It is a crucial process to confirm the water repellency that allows the product to withstand sudden weather changes.
Bringing the reassurance of repairability closer to you.
At JOLLYING, we focus on “repair-friendly design” to help customers use their products with care for a long time. We adopt structures such as magnetic parts and screw fastenings that make disassembly and replacement of parts easier, aiming for designs that facilitate future repairs and maintenance. Additionally, by using common parts across different series, we ensure stable inventory and supply. We are also expanding self-repair options so customers can easily replace parts by themselves. If any defects occur, repair services are available through authorized dealers or designated repair centers based on JOLLYING’s warranty. We provide reliable after-sales support in many countries and regions, including Japan.
Adoption of Recycled Polyester
For the first time, recycled polyester made from recycled PET bottles has been used as the lining material. Since then, recycled polyester has been standardized in many products to reduce environmental impact.
Introduction of Recycled Polycarbonate Exterior
We have launched models using recycled polycarbonate derived from household waste as part of the exterior material. While maintaining lightness and durability, we are committed to reusing waste plastics.
Utilization of Recycled Aluminum
Aluminum recycled from waste materials such as aircraft and beverage cans is used in the telescopic handle (pull handle) parts of some products. From 2025 onward, we are advancing full-scale adoption in our main product lines.
PLANET
Transition to Renewable Energy
JOLLYING is committed not only to product quality but also to reducing environmental impact in manufacturing and operations. Since 2024, we have been gradually introducing renewable energy at our partnered major manufacturing factories and logistics hubs, supplying part of the electricity used in production with solar power and green energy. Additionally, at our headquarters and operational sites, we accelerate CO₂ emissions reduction through acquiring renewable energy certificates and participating in clean energy programs. We aim to achieve 100% renewable energy use in all business operations by 2026.
Toward Emissions Reduction Across the Entire Value Chain
At JOLLYING, we recognize that the materials used in our products account for a large portion of carbon emissions. That’s why we are actively adopting low-carbon materials such as recycled polyester, recycled polypropylene and polycarbonate, and recycled aluminum. We are working to reduce environmental impact throughout the entire supply chain—from manufacturing to logistics and sales—and have set a goal to cut greenhouse gas emissions per product by more than 50% compared to 2022 levels by 2030. This goal is now integrated into our group-wide mid- to long-term strategy and forms the core of our environmentally harmonious product development. Going forward, we will also seek verification from international certification bodies to promote a more transparent decarbonization strategy.
Our Commitment to Eco-Friendly Packaging
At JOLLYING, we are committed to reducing environmental impact not only through our products but also through our packaging. Starting in 2025, we will adopt the following “Sustainable Packaging Policy” across the brand:
Reducing excessive packaging

Gradually replacing virgin materials with more eco-friendly alternatives
We have already begun trial use of recycled kraft paper and plant-based films in the packaging of select products, and plan to expand this initiative. Moving forward, we will continue to pursue more sustainable packaging solutions.

At JOLLYING, we value not only the quality of our products but also the safety and dignity of the people who make them possible. We work closely with our partner factories and material suppliers to ensure fair and safe working conditions. All finished goods suppliers are required to agree to JOLLYING’s “Partner Code of Conduct,” which outlines 10 key principles, including the protection of workers' rights, reasonable working hours, and a safe workplace environment. Suppliers are also responsible for sharing these principles with their own subcontractors.
For selected key suppliers, we implement social compliance enhancement programs, including third-party audits and training. Throughout the year, we engage in continuous dialogue and offer support to foster an ever-improving, safe, and sustainable supply chain.
